Faculty Positions In Computer Science

The School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information
Systems of DePaul University invites candidates in the DATABASE area
to apply for tenure-track positions which start
September, 1997. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a
related field by the date of appointment. Duties include a six-hour
teaching load at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advising and research.

The School places a premium on excellent teaching, encourages and rewards
creative scholarship and values faculty who make contributions to the
quality and visibility of its programs.

The School offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction and
Telecommunications. It currently has over 900 graduate and 500
undergraduate students, including a young and growing Ph.D. program that has
more than 50 students. The School excels in staying at the forefront of
rapidly developing technologies and strives to bridge the gap between
academia and industry. Faculty members are actively seeking and have
obtained research grants from government agencies and industry. The School
also supports well-equipped research and teaching laboratories.
