Call for Papers and panel Session Proposals

COMPSAC is the major international forum for researchers, practitioners,
managers, and policy makers interested in computer software and applications.
Experts and leaders from academia, software and computer industries, and
governments will participate in the program. The conference welcomes
original research or practice papers and panel discussion session proposals
on relevant topics. The emphases of the conference will include, but not
limited to, the following topics:

Evolutionary Software Development Life Cycle and Processes
High-Assurance Software: Reliability, Timing, Security and Safety
Software Re-engineering, Maintenance, and Customization
Object-oriented Analysis and Development
Distributed Object Technology and Computing Environments

Visual Programming and Graphical User Interface
Formal Methods and their Applications to Large Projects

INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS OF PAPERS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PROCEEDINGS
Mail six copies of an original (not submitted or published
elsewhere) paper (double-spaced) of 3000-5000 words. Include
the title of the paper, the name and affiliation of each author, a
150-word abstract and up to 8 keywords. Include the
name, position, address, telephone number, and if possible, fax
number and e-mail address of the author responsible for
correspondence of the paper.

INFORMATION FOR PANEL ORGANIZERS
Send six copies of panel proposals to the Program Chair. Include
the title, a 150-word scope statement, proposed session chair and
panelists and their affiliations and locations, the organizer's
affiliation, address, telephone and fax number, and e-mail address.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
January 15, 1998: All papers and panel proposals due
February 5, 1998: Panel organizers notified of acceptance
March 5, 1998: Organizers of accepted panel proposals provide
final information on session chairs and panelists
March 23, 1998: Authors notified of acceptance
May 22, 1998: Camera-ready copies of accepted papers and panelist
position papers to be included in the conference
