(DBWORLD) Tenure-track Faculty Positions at the University of Texas at Arlington

We have several faculty openings in computer science and engineering
at UT-Arlington, and one of our areas of need is databases in general;
in particular, data mining/data warehousing, web databases,
multimedia/information retrieval, distributed/heterogeneous databases,
transaction/workflow models, and active/real-time databases.

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

You are invited to apply for tenure-track or visiting faculty
positions in all areas of computer science and engineering.
Applicants with expertise in one of the following areas will be given
preference - systems including telecommunications, networks,
multimedia, and distributed computing; database systems and
applications; and software engineering. Rank is dependent upon
qualifications and experience with preference being given to junior
level applicants. An earned doctorate and a commitment to teaching
and scholarly research are required. Openings are anticipated for
January and September 1998. Screening of applications will begin on
November 10, 1997 but applications will be accepted until all
positions are filled. Applications are also invited for senior
lecturer positions. Applicants for these positions must hold a
master's degree plus have considerable industrial experience.
