(AIRTC'98)

SESSION:Databases and Distributed/Real-Time Control

Databases are now being employed frequently in conjunction with
distributed and real-time control applications. A separate session in
the AIRTC'98 symposium will be organized, describing research at the
intersection of databases and distributed/real-time control. Original
papers with novel results are solicited that describe

* the current database technology being used in control applications,

* research problems that are encountered in terms of data management,
data models, query languages and processing, transaction management, etc.,

* novel experimental systems and applications.

Dates to remember:

Submission of extended abstracts (two-pages only): January 30, 1998
Paper acceptance: 31 March, 1998
Delivery of full papers: 30 April 1998
Paper presentation registration: 30 April 1998
Conference Date: October 5-8, 1998
