The preferred method of submitting an electronic abstract for research
papers for SIGMOD '98 is to fill out the online form now available at:
http://forseti.cs.cornell.edu:8000/index.html
(or, shortly, through the main SIGMOD '98 web page at
http://www.boeing.com/sigmod98/sigmodcfp.html).
This form will be available through 10/27/97. ALL ABSTRACTS MUST BE
RECEIVED BY MONDAY, 10/27/97 (FIRM DEADLINE).

In addition, you may optionally submit soft copy of your paper via
this site. The paper submission form asks for a URL from which to get
the paper, and the format the paper is in (currently postscript, Word,
or html are supported). It also requires a paper number which you
will receive on submitting your electronic abstract, and a password
which you will choose when you submit the abstract. We are providing
this interface as an experiment ONLY this year; if it is successful,
we may be able to offer electronic submission for future SIGMODs. The
advantage to you this year is that electronically submitted papers
will be available to the entire program committee (as opposed to just
those assigned to read them); interested pc members may browse/read
additional papers, and therefore be able to serve as advocates for
them. NOTE THAT YOU MUST STILL SUBMIT HARDCOPY OF YOUR PAPER,
following the earlier instructions (see
http://www.boeing.com/sigmod98/sigmodcfp.html). HARD COPIES OF ALL
RESEARCH PAPER SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11/3/97.

(This interface is graciously provided by Praveen Seshadri and his
students at Cornell, and exploits the PREDATOR software they
have developed).
