2 Research Associates

Applications are invited for two positions as research associates on a
project funded by the BBSRC/EPSRC Bioinformatics Programme. The project
aims to develop an information management system that supports the
integration, storage and analysis of genomic and related data. Extensive
use will be made of object-oriented data management facilities, and the
yeast genome.

The positions are tenable for 30 months from appointment, which is likely to
be on or before 1st January 1998 at a salary of up to 16,927, depending
on experience and qualifications. It is expected that one appointee will
have a computer science background and database experience, and that the
other will have a background in biological sciences, with good knowledge
of yeast genetics and/or a grounding in bioinformatics. For further
