CASSAM - Computer Aided Software Support and Maintenance

Conference Aims and Scope:
--------------------------
The series of the ReTIS conferences is aimed to bring together people
from business, research and industry who are concerned with or
interested in Re-Technologies for information systems (Re-engineering,
Restructuring, Re-documentation, Reuse etc.). Clearly, software support
and maintenance are to a large extent re-techniques.

ReTIS'97 concentrates on these and aims to discuss recent approaches of
computerized methods and tools for performing and managing software
support and maintenance.

Conference Topics:
------------------
* Methods and tools for software support and maintenance
* Knowledge-based systems supporting maintenance and support
* Intranet and Internet based approaches
* Help Desks: organization, automation and systems
* Remote maintenance and support
* Resource management
* Methodologies for continuous system adaptation and software evolution
* Design for supportability and maintainability
* Experiences with Re-Methods, Re-Tools and Help Desk Systems

Contributions:
--------------
Contributions will be classified in three groups: full scientific papers
(not exceeding 6000 words, roughly 8-12 pages), industry reports
(summaries of applications of CASSAM-technologies, case studies, lessons
learned etc., 4-6 pages)and abstracts of a poster session contribution
(1-2 pages). All accepted contributions must be presented at the
conference by the author or one of the co-authors. The papers will be
published by the Austrian Computer Society, all necessary clearances for
publication have to be obtained by the authors.

Authors are strongly encouraged to send an electronic version of their
paper (Word, WordPerfect or LaTEX) as an email attachment to:

retis97@ifi.uni-klu.ac.at

Alternatively the paper can be sent by postal mail to the Conference
Secretary (see below).
