Call for Papers

Special Session on Data Modeling and Data Management
for Electronic Design Automation

As a special session of the 8th Great Lakes Symposium on VLSI (GLS-VLSI'98),
papers are solicited on topics related to data modeling and data management
for electronic design automation. Original and unpublished papers are sought
that report on research or industrial experience with electronic design
issues in any of the following general areas of interest:

- component modeling
- component retrieval/reuse
- library modeling/management
- configuration and change management

Data modeling/management issues specifically related to the topics of
interest in the GLS-VLSI'98 CFP include, but are not limited to:

- physical design, packaging, interconnects
- logic and high-level synthesis, formal verification
- testing, design for testability, reliability
- design for low power
- hardware/software codesign, embedded systems
- FPGAs architecture and design
- MCMs, partitioning
- application specific VLSI architectures
- deep sub-micron VLSI design
- multimedia, wide-band networks, and video VLSI architectures
- analog VLSI and mixed signal design and architecture
- applications
- innovative and new technologies

Please submit manuscripts of 4000 words or less and a cover page containing
the title, name, and affiliations of all authors, telephone and fax numbers,
and email of the contact author. Symposium proceedings will be published
by IEEE. Please submit 4 copies of the paper with cover page to:
