Swiss Bank Corporation is looking for several database / information
system specialists.

First, we offer the opportunity to join a small international team
responsible for strategic IT Architecture Management.
Responsibilities within this team include:

- definition and governance of the data architecture;

- definition and governance of methodology and tools for data modelling
and database development;

- definition and governance of the technical architecture for persistent
data management;

- consulting user and development departments in the application of these
methods and standards.

Second, we have several open positions within a large scale migration project
at Swiss Bank Corporation. The challenge is to migrate from a legacy mainframe
environment to a flexible new system based on distributed object technology.
The particular task is to participate in analysis, design, and implementation
of the shared data services that build the foundation of the new system and
at the same time the core of the migration engine.

Successful candidates will have an application-oriented Ph.D. in databases
or a masters / diploma degree plus several years of experience in the
development of large-scale information systems. We expect in-depth
know-how and experiences in
- current relational and object-oriented database technology;
- database modelling and design based on ER and object-oriented techniques;
- middleware technology including TP monitors and CORBA.

Furthermore, we expect good German language skills.
