*****************************************************************

EDOC'97 is the 1st International Workshop to focus specifically
on the use of distributed objects for business applications. Its
aim is to bring together researchers, industry experts, IT managers
and users to discuss their experience, problems and solutions in
using distributed object technology for business applications - both
within and across enterprises. This inaugural event has already
attracted substantial interest from experts in enterprise
distributed computing around the world. This is evidenced by the very
large number of high quality papers submitted to EDOC'97.

In addition to the best papers selected to be presented at the
technical sessions, we have also arranged keynote addresses of
the outstanding world experts in the field of Enterprise Distributed
Object Computing.
