EDBT'98: PRELIMINARY CALL FOR PAPERS
VI Intl. Conference on Extending Database Technology
Valencia, Spain, 23-27 March, 1998
http://www-dbs.inf.ethz.ch/dbs/edbt98.html

Promoted by the EDBT Foundation

Organized by Departament de Sistemes Informatics i Computacio
(Universitat Politicnica de Valincia)

EDBT started ten years ago in Venice (1988), and since then it has has been
successfully held every two years: Venice (1990), Vienna (1992), Cambridge
(1994), Avignon (1996). With its traditional emphasis in European
participation, the success of each one of its past editions has nevertheless
established EDBT as one of the leading international database
conferences. EDBT'98 will be held in Valencia, Spain, and will continue
the tradition of providing an open forum in which to discuss, from both
an industrial and a research perspective, new developments and applications
of database technology. Europe's strong database research community, as
well as its leading technology developers and many large commercial
database users make EDBT'98 a highly attractive conference. Among
many others, some of the main topics that will be addressed during EDBT'98
are:

Advanced database applications:
Multimedia and hypermedia database systems
Advanced user interfaces for data manipulation
Information resource dictionaries/repositories
Data mining in relational and spatial databases
