To understand the paradigm shift in computing from stand-alone computer
systems
to distributed systems based on the client-server architecture and the
internet
new conceptual models for computing are needed. In particular, improved
computational models of single agents and of multi-agents are necessary.
We
believe that computational logic and logic programming provide the
useful
conceptual and practical tools for developing and studying these models.
The workshop will serve as a forum for disseminating research and
experience
in this important and fast advancing field.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Interacting agents
Meta logic programmming applied to multi agent programming
Distributed reactive systems
Cognitive robotics,
Applications: Integration of heterogeneous autonomous systems
Software agents,
agent oriented interface programming, real-time
systems,
Relations between agent oriented programming and
object-oriented programming,
Inductive logic programming for self-organizing
agents
The main focus of the workshop is on new and original research. But we
also
strongly encourage the
submission of papers describing products, and prototypes in development
of
multi-agent systems. 'Vision' papers discussing the potential of a
marriage of
computational logic, especially lp and multi-agents are also welcome.
We also would like to have panels to discuss issues in the potential
application areas of multi-agents.
