POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN COMPUTING
DATABASE SYSTEMS GROUP
ADVANCED COMPUTING RESEARCH CENTRE
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Advanced Computing Research Centre (ACRC) was formed to act as a
University-wide focus for research into the areas of computer science,
software engineering and computer engineering. This Centre is a core
component of the University's research strategy in Communications and
Information Technology and one of the University's nine designated research
centres.
The Database Systems Group is one of the three research groups within the
ACRC and has grown rapidly in the last few years. It currently consists of
6 academic staff and 4 PhD students. The group is seeking to appoint a
Postdoctoral Research Associate to participate in research into data
warehousing, one of the major research areas of the group. The project
involves the development of incremental techniques in view materialisation,
view adaptation and data mining for use within a data warehousing
environment.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have a relevant PhD, or
equivalent accreditation and standing,in Computer Science or related area
and a strong research record in at least one the areas of data warehousing,
view materialisation or data mining.
The position is available for one year, with a possibility of extension
depending on the outcome of current research grant applications.
CONDITIONS
Salary Range: $A37,345 - $A40,087 per year. Level of appointment and
salary are dependent on qualifications and experience.
