CIKM'97, Sixth ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge
Management

November 10-14, 1997

Monte Carlo Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

SCOPE : The primary focus of the conference is on next generation
information systems including their theoretical foundations, infrastructure
and enabling technologies. We solicit submission of original research,
experience and vision papers that address this theme. Suggested topics
include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Mobile & wireless computing
Digital libraries
Knowledge & resource discovery
Multimedia information systems
Information Structures & Interaction
Hypertext & Hypermedia
Distributed Object Management
Transaction & Workflow Management
Temporal/Spatial Databases
Active & Extensible Databases
Engineering, Scientific & Design Databases
Software databases
User & Application Interfaces
Intelligent Search & Data Mining
Cooperating & Interoperable Federated Systems
Imprecise & Uncertain Information
Information Retrieval

Information for Authors
All submitted papers will be refereed for quality, correctness, originality
and relevance. The program committee reserves the right to designate each
accepted paper as a long, short or poster presentation. All accepted papers
will be published in the conference proceedings. Manuscripts must include
an abstract and should be limited to 5000 words. Each paper should include
a title, name(s) of author(s), author affiliation(s), e-mail address(es),
telephone and fax numbers, and postal address. In the case of multiple
authors, indicate which author is responsible for correspondence and
preparing the camera ready copy.

Five copies of the manuscript should be submitted (with the envelope
clearly marked CIKM'97) by May 1, 1997 to:
