NATO Advanced Study Institute (ASI)

Workflow Management Systems and Interoperability
August 12 -21, 1997, Grand Hotel Tarabya, Istanbul, Turkey

Application Deadline: March 7, 1997

Objectives: This ASI focuses on one of the most important areas of the
information industry: the workflow systems and interoperability. The aim of
this ASI is to disseminate the state-of-the-art knowledge on the topic to
scientists in an international setting, to bring together the distinguished
researchers, consultants and practitioners in the field, to share information
on latest research findings and on ongoing projects, to provide an environment
where "students" may learn from distinguished teachers and to
stimulate collaboration among scientists.

Funding and Procedure of Application: Limited number of partial funding for the
travel and living expenses of participants from NATO countries and from Central
and Eastern Europe countries are available. Applicants should fill in the attached
application form and return it together with a Letter of Recommendation as soon
as possible to:

Please note that the grants are only available for participants from higher
education institutions or other non-profit organizations. There is a 400 USD
participation fee for participants from the industry.

Kindly note that the deadline for applications is March 7, 1997. The number of
participants will be limited to 60. All applicants will receive a notice by
May 26, 1997.

Living Expenses: The summer school will held in the Grand Hotel Tarabya right on
Bosphorous, Istanbul, Turkey. The living expenses for 10 nights of stay
(in a double room per person) amount to 780 USD which covers full board
accommodation and coffee breaks at the Grand Hotel Tarabya. Single room full board
is 1290 USD for 10 nights including coffee breaks.

Liability and Insurance: The directors of the Summer School do not assume any
responsibility or any liability for persons participating in the meeting.
