(DBWORLD) Communication Systems Engineering openning

BEN-GURION UNIVERSITY OF THE NEGEV, ISRAEL

Department of Communication Systems Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering Sciences opened a new department for
Communication Systems Engineering (CSE), which integrates three
disciplines: Computer Sciences, Computer & Electrical Engineering and
Information Systems & Technology. Emphasis will be given to networks,
protocols and distributed systems and algorithms. Other related areas
include data representation and manipulation, telecommunication and data
applications & services, network and system management, software
engineering (O.O and real time programming) and telecommunication
systems. Economics, ergonomics and management aspects will be included
with the engineering and mathematical main stream of this new
discipline.
Applications are invited for tenure-track position at all levels, to
begin employment in fall 1997. Applicants must have a Ph.D in related
areas, and demonstrated teaching and research potential. Applications
including vita, list of publications, teaching evaluations, statement of
research interests and the names of at least three referees should be
sent to Dr. R. Giladi, Department of Communication Systems Engineering,

Application review will begin January, 1997 and will continue until
positions are filled.
