Lectureship in Systems

As part of a strategic expansion plan, the Department is seeking a
permanent lecturer in the area of "Systems". Working together with
Professor McAuley, the aim is to build a group with the critical mass to
engage in large scale projects building complete working systems to
experiment with novel network, computer and operating systems
architectures. Applications are invited from specialists with skills in one
or more of the following areas: machine architectures, communications,
networks, operating systems and distributed systems.

Applicants must possess the enthusiasm and ability to fit into a dynamic
academic environment together with appropriate experience in teaching and
research. Although the successful candidate will have the opportunity of
teaching within his/her specialist area at undergraduate and postgraduate
level there will also be a requirement to teach general Computer Science
modules outside of any particular specialisation.
