The IBM Database Technologies group is happy to provide free copies of
DB2, for the Intel or UNIX operating platforms, when DB2 is going to be
used
for undergraduate teaching, graduate teaching or research purposes.
We are also able to provide a 60% discount off of DB2 software when it is
being purchased for purposes other than teaching or research.
For those of you who are teaching a relational database course, there are
also programs in place which will benefit the students of such a course,
when
taught using DB2.
Take a look at our new web site, http://www.software.ibm.com/data/highered
for further information on all these programs.
If there are any questions on how to get involved in any of the programs,
which
are not answered on the web-site, there is an option to send us email, from
this
site.
